The amounts shown above are averages as each individual case is different.

Emergency care for wildlife includes first aid assistance by experienced rehabilitators, the use of medical supplies, antibiotics, hydration solutions, medication, and veterinary care if needed.

Rehabilitative care may last a few days to many months and includes the use of wildlife milk formulas, special diets (insects, mice, fruits and vegetables, etc.) and consumable items like paper towels, disinfectant, and feeding utensils. An additional expense is caging which is specified and regulated by State and Federal agencies.
AAWR receives no funding from State, City or Federal agencies and relies solely on the community's tax-deductible donations to help us give Texas wildlife a second chance.
