AAWR is a 501c (3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization founded in 2007 by a group of licensed rehabilitators and other friends of wildlife for the purpose of serving the interests of wild animals in need.

  Mission Statement

AAWR’s mission is to promote environmental conservation through public education and rehabilitation of native Texas wildlife.

Who we are and what we do

We have numerous volunteers who dedicate their time and money to rehabilitate wild animals in their homes.

We recruit, train, and mentor new rehabbers.

We provide valuable information to members of the public seeking information about wildlife.

We operate within the regulations set forth by Texas Parks & Wildlife and the U.S. Department of Fish & Wildlife.
